The Environment
Caring for our surroundings. Living in harmony.
The Glorious Qur'an says: "O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters." (Qur'an 7:31)

Islam calls upon mankind to recognize the bounties of God, and utilize them in a manner that satisfies human need, without impoverishing the environment. God has appointed humanity as a "Khalifa" (vicegerent), in this earth. As such, protecting the environment from abuse is one of the duties enjoined on a believer.
