Thank you for offering this nonintrusive way of finding out more about Islam without fear of offending any Muslim I meet. I teach 7th grade Social Studies and value getting my information concerning the Middle East and the three major religions from authenic believers rather that depending on books alone. Once I had a traditional Muslim family: father, mother, and baby come speak to my students about their Islamic faith in 2007. (They moved away concerning employment shortly after their presentation.)I must say that experience had a very positive affect on teaching my students to be tolerant and respectful of other’s belief. The father that came said he was apprehensive about coming to share his faith especially since 9/11, but my students’ comments were very positive and he felt it was very worthwhile.

I am a Christian and have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, the Messiah. I have no interest in becoming a follower of Islam, but I do have a deep desire to understand and stand up for other believers’ faith in the One True God. I also want to learn more about the Jewish faith as well so I can be a better teacher. I do believe we worship the same God, and since I do not have all the answers, I will leave it to God to sort out all of the details of the next life.

      Cammie,
Thank you for sharing that story. I just wanted to let you know firstly that you are more than welcome to become Muslim at your own will. I say that because some non-Muslims say they wont embrace Islam because no one ever invited them to.

The Bible gives you some answers on how to live your life and as Muslims we believe in the Bible as the word of God and embrace it and the Noble Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him. However I just wanted to make you aware Islam has an answer to every single question you may have about life from how to conduct business, to how you should treat your spouse, to how to properly cleanse your body, to what events you should expect to take place as soon as your soul leaves your body.

You mentioned you would leave God to sort out the details of the next life, but actually he already has =.) There is a step by step account of what happens after you die, what happens in the grave, and specific details about judgement day and heaven and hell. So I invite you to learn more and I can guarantee that Islam has the answer to Any and Every question you may have. I wish you well on your life journey =)

  7. Eric Christopherson says:

One of the most profound witness to Allah and Islam to me has been the courage and sincerity of Muslim women to simply be who they are, and part of this identity is hijab. In a world of indecent exposure, lust, and glorification of fornication and adultery by the media, i admire Muslim sisters for pointing others to a different path, inwardly and outwardly. Am thankful that many Muslim sisters are not afraid or ashamed to honor Allah in this way, whether in urban or rural areas here in the United States.

As Salam Alaikom my Dear brothers and sisters, When I was 19 years old I read a marvelous book titled “Introduction to Islamic Beliefs”, it was so clear, so interesting that I said to myself…”One day I will become a muslim” Very few people knew Islam in my country, even today there are around 3,000 from 21,000,000, and in my city of 24,000 inhabitants there are only 2, one of them is me. I reverted to islam one year ago. The only woman wearing a hejab in my city. Some people gaze at me, others stop and ask me why I wear this. I realized I had to study and learn many things about this marvelous islam so that I could be prepared to teach others about it. So I started studying at Islamic online University, although English is my second language. The brochures about specific topics are a wonderful resource for sharing with others islam teachings. They can be read quietly at home, the printings and colours are wonderful and the texts are interesting. Let me say “Congratulations!” to you. May Allah subhannahu wa ta’ala reward each and every person working at ICNA, and help brothers and sisters use this resources wisely to help educate citizens from all over the world to learn, appreciate and love Islam, light of nations, light of Earth, light of Universe. Best regards from Chile.

    assalamu alaikum,
i would appreciate the work done on this site as this is a good platform to spread the religion of islam by offering islamic literature free of charge. It would be better if more literature like hadith books are also included because that will make the reader understand the religion completely,
    wassalam.

    {Surah Al Imran 3 Ayat 110}.

You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.

  18. Anonymous says:

Genesis Devotional Series: "Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no children. But she had an Egyptian maidservant named Hagar…" (Genesis 16:1) Most of you know the rest of the story or at least you think you do. If ever in the Middle East and this topic comes up you will be challenged as to its validity because in the Islamic teaching, it is not Isaac that would later be laid on the altar by Abraham but it was said to be Ismael. Obviously, this has huge implications theologically. It makes the Islamic line the covenant line and not the Hebrew line from Abraham. So what we have is a doctrinal disagreement and discussion on which doctrine more accurately renders the story. This is one of the reasons why we must know how to defend our faith as Paul encouraged Timothy so long ago.

May the All Mighty Allah turn that hatred for Islam into one of understanding, mercy and compassion; may your heart and mind be purified so that if Allah wills you are to dialogue with Muslims you will be able to understand the message of Islam thus be guided. Ameen. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an: When the ignorant address you on the earth say 'salams' (peace) to them.

  22. Who is allah swt, jibril and mohammed saw? Why they pretend themselves like the Trinity, God the Father and God the Son, the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit?

Do you know lucifer has used his servants, allah swt, jibril and mohammed saw to do his work and mission to bring as many as possible people in the world to go to live with him in the hell forever and ever?

  23. Hmmn, kinda different from the bible version.. It's kind of a historical fact that Jesus was publicly humiliated and that he did die on the cross and was buried in the tomb, but yes, it gets sketchy after that. no one did actually witness to the resurrection, just some post-resurrection story before he was witnessed to ascend up to heaven. Jesus' suffering and death was and is an important implication of what Jesus was trying to create and integrate, which was a new reality where sin was no more. Theoretically, it would actually be impossible if you understand the law of Karma for someone so pure and true and innocent to suffer and die the way he did. But God allowed it to happen for just Jesus and it was so because he alone could actually be able to suffer and die without personal anger and reproach or adding to the store of hatred in the world. In fact, his love and peace he gave humanity at that last moment of his death was his modeling and prayer of "showing the way" and making the way, like a new creation, of love for hatred, anger and violence. That's why the words, "Look I make all things new." In a sense, he was destroying Karma, and introducing the idea of reparation for the sins of other people, whom others were predicted to be like him, ransomed from the ways of the world. The 144,000 mentioned in Revelations 14. So personally done sins as well as communally accepted or allowed social sins (things against God's good order) were being repaired or "erased" by the actions of good as in God's eternal world, is how He sees humanity anyways, personally but also as one human race. He was able to successfully pave the way for that "new world" (where sin and death and evil has been condemned) and even sent "another holy Spirit" to vivify people and continue the work of the word of God received from Jesus (pentecostal experience). It's a unitary spirit that is holy and true. Anyways, the Islam and non-Islam can try to experience it for themselves to understand it better. Some Catholic churches have it but only after some idea of Jesus and his teachings which is easily read in the Gospels which are just a few pages, especially the Matthew 5ff to understand the gist of who or what Jesus is but not limited to the teachings there, it's just to help us get the spirit of Jesus, so we can be like him, with the help of the holy Spirit, who'll "explain" things in more detail to one's heart, mind and soul and give strength to manifest the truth of our human capacity and being in our daily life. Hope I don't sound like some evangelical Christian, haha. Just trying to help. Message me for your ideas on this and no it is not Catholic doctrine yet but sounds right based on the evidence and it is a good idea to live life doing good not just for our own personal salvation but in undoing the damage of evil in the world, and joining or following Christ in that way. I also have some first hand stories about Catholic exorcism and Islam Imams who failed to drive away evil and how Jesus' name and Mama Mary is still "allowed by God" to have such divine authority… I am not saying Islam is not a good and true religion, I am just saying the Catholic rites thru Jesus and Mary had authority over the demons and not Muhammed's name.

  24. Respect the book and the people of Islam and learn from them the attitude of reverence and love for your faith. if you did have faith like them, you would not say such things about their Quran. If you were Christian, you know Christ looks at the heart and if "they are not against God, they are with God" and some really follow the ways of the loving God, in Spirit and in Truth and you need not be Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic or Christian for that. Praying for the unity of faith as God so wills through Jesus and other prophets of good example. I'm Catholic, by the way.

  25. Hi big question did Jesus make up Christianity, and different sects of Christianity? where in the bible does he say it, what language do they speak before

  26. Hello my friend. Jesus(Isa), didnt neccesarily make up christianity, the followers used this first word Christian to identify that they are followers of Jesus Christ(peace be upon him), and there were 3 main languages in Biblical times. 1.) Hebrew, 2.) Aramaic(a branch of Hebrew), and 3.) Greek. Greek is like the english of today meaning, english is the most language everyone speaks today, but back then was greek, Koin Greek.

Dear Dave, Allah is the God and Only God, the creater of all. Jibril is an Angel who was created to obay God, and he was the servant of Allah who delivered the massage of Islam to the Prophet Mohammad (peace be Upon him) ps: saw are abriviation letters for salla Allah alaihe wa salam(arabic) which on english means Allahs peace and prayer be upon him, the greates man of all mankind.
Who do you mean by lucifer? The devil? Satan?
Jesus peace be upon him was just like Mohammad Peace be upon him, a human being that was chosen to be a prophet and deliver Allahs massage to the hamanity.

That is until I met my husband and was introduced to Islam where I have found so much clarity however I continue with my personal struggle and feel lost most of the time.
